This policy should be read with our Terms of Use and Shipping Policy. It governs product returns, cancellations, and refunds.

Overview

At Gadget Guruz, we stand behind every repair we carry out and every product sold on our platform. This Policy sets out the conditions and procedures for returning products, cancelling orders and services, and obtaining refunds. By using our services, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

This Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Use (gadgetguruz.com/terms_of_use) and Shipping Policy (gadgetguruz.com/shipping-policy), which together form the complete agreement governing your transactions with us.

Product Returns (Marketplace Buy/Sell)

Eligibility

A return request is eligible if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The return request is raised within 3 days of the confirmed delivery date, as verified by the logistics delivery record.
  • The item is in its original, unused condition and in its original packaging, with all accessories, manuals, and components included.
  • Proof of purchase (order confirmation email or order ID) is provided.
  • The return reason falls within the eligible categories listed below.

The return window is 3 days from delivery. Requests raised after this window will not be eligible for a return or refund, except where otherwise required by law.

Eligible Return Reasons
  1. The item received was defective or faulty on arrival (Dead on Arrival).
  2. The item was visibly damaged during shipping.
  3. The wrong item was delivered (item received does not match the order).
  4. One or more items or accessories listed in the product description were missing from the package.

Returns will not be accepted for: buyer's remorse, change of mind, items ordered incorrectly by the buyer, or items with a broken or tampered warranty seal. Please review product listings carefully before purchasing.

Non-Returnable Items
  • Custom-made or personalised products and services.
  • Items explicitly marked as non-returnable on the product listing page.
  • Gift cards and prepaid vouchers.
  • Perishable or consumable items.
  • Any item where the warranty seal has been broken or tampered with after delivery.
  • Items reported after 3 days of delivery.
How to Initiate a Return
  1. Contact Support: Email support@gadgetguruz.com or call 7838423438 (11 AM - 7 PM, Monday to Saturday) within 3 days of delivery. Provide your order number, the item(s) to be returned, the reason for the return, and supporting photographs where applicable.
  2. Return Authorisation: Once your request is reviewed and approved, you will receive a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) and return instructions by email within 1 business day.
  3. Ship the Return: Pack the item securely in its original packaging, include the RAN inside the package, and ship it to the address provided in the return instructions.
  4. Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs are borne by the Seller where the return is due to an error by the Seller (wrong item, defective item, damaged in transit). Where the return is for any other approved reason, return shipping terms will be communicated at the time of RAN issuance.

  • If the Seller does not respond to a return or replacement request within 3 days of being notified, the refund will be automatically processed in favour of the Buyer. The Seller will be liable for the refund amount, and all return shipping charges shall be borne by the Seller.
  • If the Seller rejects a return request, the Buyer may raise a formal dispute at gadgetguruz.com/contact-us and invoke the Buyer Protection Program.

Refunds

Refund on Approved Returns
  • Once the returned item is received by us or the Seller (as applicable), it will be inspected within 2 business days. You will be notified of the outcome by email.
  • If the return is approved, the refund will be credited to your original payment method within 5 to 7 working days of approval. Actual credit timelines may vary by bank or payment provider.
  • Partial refunds may be granted where the returned item is not in its original condition, is missing parts, or shows signs of damage not caused by us or our logistics partner.
Refunds for Repair Services
  • We will attempt a re-repair on your device up to twice after the initial repair within the warranty period. If the device remains faulty after two re-repair attempts, we will issue a refund minus applicable shipping and logistics costs.
  • Refunds are not applicable for diagnostic-only services or for water or liquid damage repairs, as outcomes for such cases cannot be guaranteed by the nature of the damage.
  • The refund amount for repair services is assessed at Gadget Guruz's discretion following a complete inspection of the device and its condition. You will be notified of the assessed refund amount before it is processed.
Refunds for Failed or Erroneous Payments
  • If a payment is debited from your account but the order is not confirmed, the amount will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 5 to 7 working days.
  • For any payment disputes, contact support@gadgetguruz.com with your transaction reference number.
Recycle and E-Waste
  • Once a device is accepted for recycling and collected, no refund or reversal is possible.
  • The valuation quoted for recycling is final once accepted by you. Gadget Guruz reserves the right to revise the valuation after physical inspection if the actual condition of the device differs materially from what was stated by you at the time of booking.

Order Cancellations (Products)

Cancellation Before Dispatch
  • You may cancel a product order at any time before it has been dispatched by contacting us at support@gadgetguruz.com or calling 7838423438.
  • Orders cancelled before dispatch are eligible for a full refund to the original payment method within 5 to 7 working days.
Cancellation After Dispatch
  • Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. You will need to follow the return process in Section 2 once the item is delivered.
  • Return shipping costs for post-dispatch cancellations (buyer's change of mind) are borne by the Buyer, not Gadget Guruz or the Seller, unless the return is due to a Seller error.

Service Cancellations and Rescheduling (Repair and Technician)

  • You may cancel or reschedule a repair booking or technician visit without penalty provided you notify us at least 4 hours before the scheduled appointment. Call 7838423438 or use the cancellation option in the app.
  • Cancellations or reschedule requests made within 4 hours of the appointment may be subject to a convenience or cancellation fee, which will be disclosed at the time of booking.
  • A service booking cannot be cancelled once our technician has arrived at your location. If you choose not to proceed with the service after the technician has arrived, a convenience fee may be levied.
  • Gadget Guruz reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a service appointment due to technician unavailability, safety concerns, or other operational reasons. In such cases, no cancellation fee will be charged to you, and the appointment will be rescheduled at your convenience.
Cancellation window: at least 4 hours before the scheduled appointment. After that, a cancellation fee may apply. Once a technician has arrived, the appointment cannot be cancelled.

Repair Warranty

  • All repairs carried out by Gadget Guruz come with a limited warranty for the period specified at the time of service completion (typically 30 days unless stated otherwise at booking).
  • The warranty covers the specific repair performed. It does not extend to other components of the device, pre-existing conditions, or unrelated faults.
  • The warranty is void if the device is subject to physical damage, liquid damage, or misuse after repair, or if it is repaired or opened by any third party after our repair.
  • To raise a warranty claim, contact support@gadgetguruz.com within the warranty period with your order ID and a description of the recurring issue.

Governing Law and Consumer Rights

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. All disputes arising from returns, refunds, or cancellations are subject to the Terms of Use (gadgetguruz.com/terms_of_use) and the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in New Delhi, India.

Nothing in this Policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. You may contact the National Consumer Helpline at 1800-11-4000 or approach the relevant Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission if your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction.
